Women's Track and Field Team Finishes 7th at NAIA Championships

GULF SHORES, Ala. -- Members of the Siena Heights women's track and field team spent the last three days at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The team finished with a total of 31 points for seventh in the team standings.

Haley Hudson had the highest finish for the Saints team with a throw of 15.14m (49' 8.25") in the shot put for second place. She earned All-America status by finishing in the top eight. Julia Forbes was also crowned an All-American with a third-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.91m (19' 4.75").

Kierra Rice finished third in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.02 to earn All-America status. Mildrenae Young-Brooks also finished the 100m hurdles in 14.02 for fourth place to earn All-America. She was also a member of the 4x100m relay team with Madisyn Kleinschmit, Asia Gardner, and Forbes that earned All-America with a fourth-place finish in 46.43.

Rachel O'Neill was the final SHU student-athlete to earn All-America by finishing eighth in the hammer throw with a launch of 50.56m (165' 10").
