Women's Track and Field Compete at Hillsdale Invitational

HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The 12th-ranked Siena Heights women's track and field team won six events at the Hillsdale Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Asia Gardner won the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.34. She was also a member of the 4x100 relay team with Madisyn Kleinschmit, Harlie Sweet, and Kira Harris that won the event with a time of 48.25. She completed her day with a third-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.23.

Delaney Stersic won the 400-meter with a time of 57.73. Andrea Crowe finished the 5k in 18:59.51 to win the event. Haley Hudson won the shot put with an "A-standard" throw of 14.80m (48' 6.75"). Jaymz Gibson was the final Saint women's athlete to win first at the event with a throw of 39.03m (128' 1") in the javelin.

Kleinschmit was second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.81. She was fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.39. Kierra Rice finished the 100-meter hurdles with an "A-standard" time of 14.40 to earn second place. Baleigh Irelan finished second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:10.87.

Emily Hill finished fourth in the 200-meter dash (26.00) and fifth in the 100-meter (12.54). Courtney Taylor threw the discus 37.58m (123' 3") for fourth place. She finished fifth in the shot put with a throw of 12.82m (42' 0.5") and fifth in the hammer throw with a heave of 43.6m (143' 3").
