#12 Women's Track and Field Win Aquinas Little Meet

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The 12th-ranked Saints women's track and field team had a great day at the Aquinas Little Meet by accumulating 216.5 team points to win the meet. The team won 10 events on the day. 

Madisyn Kleinschmit won both the 60-meter (7.78) with a "B" standard time and the 200-meter (25.91) events. Delaney Stersic placed first in the 400-meter with a time of 1:00.54 as well as a fourth-place result in the 200-meter (27.09). Casie Nadasky won the 800-meter run with a time 1:23.26. Andrea Crowe finished first in the 3k with a 10:45.83 time. Mildrenae Young Brooks won both the 60-meter hurdles (8.69) and the triple jump (11.37m [37' 3.75"]). Her mark in the 60-meter hurdles was an "A" standard time. Julia Forbes won the long jump with a best leap of 5.51m (18' 5"). Haley Hudson finished at the top of the shot put standings with a heave of 14.25m (46' 9"). The women's 4x400 relay team including Emily Hill, Terria Fisher, Casie Nadasky, and Delaney Stersic won with a time of 4:05.96.

Young Brooks added a second-place finish in the 60-meter (7.83) to her outstanding day. Kelsey Hunt finished just short of first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:50.18. Hannah Cain was second in the pole vault by clearing the bar at 3.42m (11' 2.5"), a "B" standard mark. Courtney Taylor finished second in the shot put (15.10m [49' 6.5"]) along with a fifth-place mark in the weight throw with a launch of 14.63m (48' 0"). Rachel O'Neill was second in the weight throw with a throw of 15.10m (49' 6.5") and a fourth-place mark in the shot put (12.03m [39' 5.75"]).

Emily Hill finished third in the 200-meter (26.49) and fourth in the 60-meter (7.98). Kierra Rice was third in the 60-meter hurdles with an 8.91 mark, an "A" standard. She also finished top-five in the high jump along with a top-10 finish in the 200-meter. Tina Miller finished third in the weight throw, flinging the weight 14.87m (48' 9.5").

Selena Ingram (400m, 1:04.7) and Abigail Banson (Triple Jump, 10.48m [34' 4.75"]) each finished fourth in their events. Harneet Singh (600m, 1:53.78) and Jaymz Gibson (pole vault, 3.12m [10' 2.75"]) were both fifth in their respective events.
