Johnson Jumps Above the Competition at the Gina Relays

HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's track and field team traveled to Hillsdale on Thursday and Friday to compete in the Gina Relays. The Saints finished with one provisional and one automatic qualifying performance.

Ashley O'Neill had a provisional qualifying distance of 49.62 in the hammer throw, placing fifth.

For the third week in a row Marissa Johnson jumped above the competition taking first with 1.63m in the high jump.

The 4x800 meter relay team consisting of Brianna Pekel, Ruth Letherer, Ashley Russo and Mariah Ridal finished second with an automatic qualifying time of 9:17.53.

The Saints will travel to Grand Rapids to compete in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship hosted by Davenport starting on Thursday, May 4.
