Women's T&F Earns 10 First Place Finishes at The Don Kleinow Invitational

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's track and field team hosted a cold, cloudy Don Kleinow Invitational over Easter weekend. The Saints earned 10 first place finishes, four automatic-qualifying and two provisional-qualifying performances.

Siena Heights finished first and second in the 100m dash. Claiming first was Asia Gardner in 12.30 seconds while Mildrenae Young-Brooks came in at 12.61 seconds.

Tying in first place in the pole vault was Sheila McKinley and Sasha McKinley. Both cleared the bar at 3.75m, an automatic-qualifying height.

Tina Miller finished second place in the javelin with a throw of 34.96 meters.

The Saints claimed first place in the 4x400m relay by over 13 seconds, crossing the finish line at 3:59.03 as second place Adrian finished in 4:12.09. Siena Heights also took first place in the 4x100m relay, finishing in 48.39 seconds.

In the shot put, Ashley O'Neill threw a distance of 12.27 meters for first place. She also took first place in the discus throw for an automatic-qualifying throw of 46.58 meters. Also earning an automatic-qualifying distance in the discus was Amanda Geerlings with a 44.00m toss.

A. O'Neill threw a provisional-qualifying distance of 48.52 meters in the hammer throw for second place. Earning third in the hammer was Rachel O'Neill, throwing 44.94m.

Ashley Russo crossed the finish line in 4:51.89 to take first place in the 1500m run.

In the long jump, Julia Forbes took first place with a leap of 5.40 meters.

Alexis Moore finished first in the 400m run, crossing the finish line in 58.14 seconds.

Jumping 11.32 meters in the triple jump was Charlena Williams, earning second place.

Taking third place in the 800m run was Ruth Ann Letherer with a time of 2:23.50.

In the high jump, Marissa Johnson and Morgan Kulwicki finished first and second, respectively. Johnson cleared the bar at 1.65m, a provisional-qualifying height, and Kulwicki at 1.55m.

Kristin Stobinski took third place in the 10,000 meter run in 38:52.04.

The Saints will return to action on Friday and Saturday at Ohio State and Otterbein.
