Goodwin, Pierce Efforts Lead Women's T&F at the GINA Relays

HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The fourth-ranked Siena Heights women's track and field team took home five top three finishes, including two first place finishes from Madison Pierce and Bobbie Goodwin.

Pierce flew19 feet, 2 inches (5.84 meters) to take first in the long jump by four inches.

In the javelin throw, Goodwin threw the javelin119 feet, 3 inches (36.34m) to earn first place. She out-threw the second place performer by over 1.5 feet.

Phoenix Duncan claimed second after clearing the bar at 5-6.5 (1.69m).

Throwing the hammer 182-5 (55.61m), Kasey Renshaw took third place.

The Saints 4x800m relay team earned a provisional-time of 9:28.45 to take second place. The team consisted of Ashley Russo, Hannah Shellenbarger, Mariah Ridal and Ruth Letherer.

Siena Heights will be back in action on Thursday and Friday when the Saints host the WHAC Track and Field Championship.
