JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Ashley Russo and the Siena Heights women's track and field 4x400 meter relay team finished their first day at the 2016 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships, on Thursday, not qualifying for the finals in either event.

Russo finished her 5k in 19:07.10, for 21st.

The 4x400m relay team took 14th, finishing in 4:00.57.

The Saints will be back in action tomorrow for the semi-finals in 60m hurdles and 200m. The semi-finals and finals will take place tomorrow for the following events: long jump, weight throw and pole vault.
