KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Siena Heights women's track and field thrower Kasey Renshaw claimed the NAIA Women's Field Athlete of the Week Award, for the second week in a row.
Renshaw travelled to Bloomington, Ind. to participate in the Indiana University Relays. She competed against NCAA Division I athletes in the weight throw.
On Saturday, she crushed her previous SHU record of 20.32m with a toss of 21.59 meters (70 feet, 10 inches) to take first place. At the meet, she beat the second place performer by 0.01m.
While still at the top spot in the NAIA, this massive throw moved her up nine spots in all-college divisions. Renshaw is now ranked fourth against competitors in NCAA Div. I, Div. II, Div. III and the NAIA. She trails the top-spot by 0.66m.
