Kasey Renshaw, Siena Heights women's track and field thrower, won Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the week for the second straight week, third overall, for her performance in the weight throw.

At the Indiana University Relays (Jan. 30), Renshaw was competing against NCAA Div. I athletes. Renshaw threw an outstanding 70 feet, 10 inches (21.59m) to beat the second place performer by 0.25 inches (0.01m).

By throwing 21.59 meters, she crushed her previous SHU record of 20.32m set at the AQ Quad Meet #2 (Jan. 22, 2016).

In the weight throw, Renshaw is still ranked first in the NAIA, the current second-ranked performer throwing 18.41m.

Renshaw moved up from 13th to take the No. 4 spot in all college divisions -- including NCAA Div. I, II, III and NAIA -- now only 0.66m away from the top spot.
