UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- The Jet's Pizza Invitational held at Saginaw Valley State University on Friday and Saturday proved to be great for the second-ranked Siena Heights women's track and field event participants. 

To highlight the Saints' top finishers we should start in the high jump.  The Saints took first and then tied two jumpers for second place. Amber Koprin won the event with a height of 5 feet, 8 inches (1.73 meters). Marissa Johnson and Phoenix Duncan then tied each other for second place at 5-6 (1.68m).

Not to be outshown, Tasha McKinley and Sheila McKinley both cleared 11-1.25 (3.64) in the pole vault. Tasha won the event on the tiebreaker, leaving Sheila with a runner-up trophy.

Mildrenae Young-Brooks took second place in the triple jump at 37-0.25 (11.28 meters) then placed fifth in the 60 meter dash at 7.79 seconds.

Rebecca Cousineau led the Saints' weight throwers with a second place distance of 55 feet, 0.75 inches (16.78m). Ashley O'Neill took fourth at 52-11 (16.13m) and Bobbie Goodwin placed fifth at 49 feet, 0.25 inches (14.94 meters).

Rounding out the Saints top finishers on the day was Haley Hudson.  Hudson placed third in the shot put with a distance of 45-10.75 (13.99m).

The Saints will now travel to Ada, Ohio for the Ohio Northern Invitational on February 6th.
