ALLENDALE, Mich., and HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's outdoor track and field team competed at a pair of "last chance" meets at Hillsdale and Grand Valley State over the weekend.
Jalesia Johnson and Rose Fuller hit new NAIA provisional-qualifying standards; they were the only Saints to hit a new provisional or auto.
High jumper Marissa Johnson had the team's only auto performance.
Jalesia Johnson had a provisional time of 1:04.63 while finishing fourth in the 400-meter hurdles at Hillsdale. Fuller's provo came in the discus as she took 11th with a throw of 140 feet, 8 inches (42.87 meters) at GVSU.
Also at Hillsdale, Marissa Johnson won with a 5-7 3/4 (1.72m) in the high jump, matched her previous-best auto this season.
Brianna Pekel improved her provisional time in the 800 by .4 seconds as she clocked in at 2:14.70, placing seventh. Sheila McKinley tied for seventh in the pole vault with a provisional 11-5 3/4 (3.50m); she already has an auto.
