Women's Soccer Wins on Senior Night

Adrian, Mich. -- The Siena Heights Women's Soccer team took on University of Michigan-Dearborn on senior night, and won 5-0. Parker Cheney scored the first goal of the night at the 3rd minute of the game, and that was was assisted by Lily Tiplady in the 26th minute. The Saints went up 2-0, with a goal scored by Rylee Henckel which was assisted by Parker Cheney. The next two goals were unassisted. The first goal scored by Keirra Thompson, made it 3-0 in the 36th minute, and to make it 4-0 was scored in the 51st minute, by Sophie Zelek. To seal the deal for the Saints was Gia Diaz, scoring her second goal of the season, and that was assisted by Alyssa Fischer in the 68th minute to make it 5-0. 

The Saints defense on the evening was suffocating, not giving up a single shot. The Saints outscored Michigan-Dearborn 23-0. The Saints also dominated the game in corner kicks, winning that battle 15-0. 

As for fouls on the evening, Michigan-Dearborn had 5 fouls, to Siena Heights' 4. 

 

Next Up, Women's Soccer will travel to Howell, Mich. to play their final home game at Cleary University this Saturday, at 2 PM.
