Six Saints Honored by College Sports Communicators

The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
 
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.

The Saints saw six women's soccer players honored.  Olivia Emert, a senior midfielder from Walled Lake, Michigan started all 20 games for the Saints this year, scoring three goals and adding one assist, one of her goals was a game winner.  She is a biology major with a minor in chemistry.  She was also named to the 2nd Team All WHAC this season.  Hannah Moening, a senior defender from Ann Arbor, Michigan started all 20 games for the Saints, tallying one assist from the back line.  She is a nursing major.  Isabel Remar, a senior midfielder from Lowell, Michigan started all 20 games for the Saints.  She scored six goals and added three assists with three of her goals being game winners.  Remar, a biology major, was the Saints' Champions of Character honoree in the WHAC.  Lily Tiplady, a junior forward from Canton, Michigan played in all 20 games for the Saints, starting in seven of them.  She scored six goals and added four assists on the season.  Tiplady is an elementary education major who was named 2nd Team All WHAC this year.  Erin Tyson, a senior midfielder from Freeland, Michigan started all 20 games for the Saints this year.  She scored five goals and added two assists, with two of her goals being game winners.  Tyson is a biology major who is minoring in chemistry as well.  Marissa Young, a senior forward from Genoa, Ohio started all 19 games she played in.  She led the Saints with nine goals scored, she added one assist and led the team with four game winning goals.  Young is an environmental engineering major with a minor in biology.

In order to be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
