DEARBORN, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's soccer team failed to cash in on the scoring opportunities in a scoreless tie at UM-Dearborn on Wednesday night. With tonight's result, the Saints fall to fifth in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference standings.

SHU had several shots in the first 45 minutes, but the only shot on target was prevented from going into the net. The Saints recorded seven total shots in the first half and registered seven corner kicks before the teams entered the locker room for the intermission.

The Siena Heights defense was stifling in the second half, as the Wolverines didn't have a single shot in the final 45 minutes. An 8-0 edge in shooting for the Saints made no difference to the score as the UM-Dearborn goalkeeper made six saves to preserve the tie.

Rylie Henckel led the way offensively, with both of her shots falling on target on the evening. Mackenzie Stenzel, Lily Tiplady, Parker Cheney, Gia Diaz, and Sarah Ammon all recorded a shot on goal in the effort. Caitlyn Harwood made the save on the solo shot she faced to earn her fourth clean sheet this season.

Quote from Coach: "We simply were not good enough today. We came close a couple of times with balls bouncing on the goal line, but we weren't able to cash in."
