ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's soccer team used a late penalty kick opportunity to grab a 1-0 win over Indiana Tech on Saturday afternoon.

The Saints had the majority of scoring chances, outshooting the Warriors 23-2 in the game. However, the best scoring opportunities for Siena Heights were off the mark, as a header off a cross went wide in the first half, and a shot inside the box flew high in the second.

Erin Tyson and Lily Tiplady led the Saints with two shots on goal. Four other Saint players had a shot on goal, including Marissa Young, who took the penalty kick for Siena Heights in the game's final four minutes. Young shot left to beat the keeper on the play to break the scoreless deadlock and take the lead. That score proved enough as the clock hit zeros with a 1-0 score for the Saints' victory.

Quote from Coach: "We didn't have our best offense today, but we found a way to get the job done."
