Huge Second Half Propels Saints to Fourth-Straight Win

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's soccer team broke a scoreless deadlock with five goals in the second half to earn its fourth-straight win on Wednesday afternoon. The Saints' defense continued its dominance, recording another shutout while only allowing three shots on goal.

Sarah Ammon was the leading scorer for SHU with an assist on Marissa Young's goal that gave the Saints a 1-0 lead before adding a goal of her own that extended the advantage to three.

Parker Cheney tallied her first career goal in the 79th minute. The assist went to Rylie Henckel, who added her first career point in a Saints uniform.

Danielle Powell completed the scoring with her first goal of the year after a shot deflected off a defender in the 89th minute.

Siena Heights dominated play outshooting Bethel (Ind.) 16-9, 8-3 on goal. The Saints also had six corner kicks to the Pilots' two.

Quote From Coach: "I am proud of how we responded in the second half after we didn't play well in the first half. We were able to go deep into our bench and generate scoring from some new faces."
