ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team earned its 11th win of the season in a 1-0 shutout on the road against Concordia (Mich.) on Saturday afternoon. The Saints (11-3-2, 6-2-1 WHAC) have earned all their victories while holding the opponent scoreless. The win also pushes the team to 19 points and a three-way tie for second place in the league standings with Madonna and UNOH.

Kara Bishop (W, 10-2) made five saves in goal for the Saints to earn her 10th shutout of the season, which ties her for eighth all-time in program history for shutouts in a season. The clean sheet also gives her 20 in her career, which gives her sole possession of sixth in the all-time career record book. Sophie Zelek had a game-high two shots on goal in the game. In addition, Emily Broman, Kaleigh Mahaz, Kennedy Hyde, and Isabel Herden each tallied one shot on goal.

The Siena Heights defense was stout as the unit held the Cardinals to just five shots on goal for the game. The Saints held a 15-4 advantage in shots for the first half before tying CUAA with eight shots in the second. SHU had multiple chances to score in the first half as Anna Roman (L, 7-3-2) was forced to make five saves in the first 45 minutes to keep the Cardinals in the game. The game's lone score came in the 22nd minute when a corner kick by the navy and yellow ricocheted off the near post defender and into the Cardinals net for an own goal.

Both teams built opportunities to score but were thwarted by the opposing keeper each time. Bishop registered three saves in the second half to preserve the 1-0 advantage and the win.
