ADRIAN, Mich. -- Both teams generated chances in a double-overtime tie, but neither was able to capitalize as Siena Heights and Madonna played to a nothing-nothing tie on Homecoming Saturday at O'Lauglin Stadiums. The Saints currently sit fifth in the conference standings with 13 points.

Sarah Ammon and MacKenzie Stenzel each had two shots on goal for the Saints in the draw. Isabel Herden and Kayla Rivers each tallied one shot on goal. Kara Bishop (T, 8-2-2) made eight saves to keep the Crusaders off of the scoreboard.

Marissa Young had the first opportunity to put Siena Heights on the board with a shot in the opening four minutes but the ball bounced off the post and the game remained scoreless. Lily Tiplady had a shot hit the crossbar at 42:00 and again the game would remain at a 0-0 tie. The Saints outshot the Crusaders 7-4 in the opening 45 minutes. Madonna's goalie Alex Thomas (T, 5-0-1) made three saves in the first half to keep the game tied.

The visitors had 11 shots in the second half, five of them were on goal, all of which Bishop stopped. Regulation ended with neither team having scored a goal so it moved into the first overtime period.

The Navy and Yellow had two opportunities to end the game in the first overtime session. The first came from a shot by Ammon during a scramble that was saved by Thomas. MacKenzie Stenzel had the second opportunity but was also thwarted by Thomas.

Bishop was tested in the second overtime but made the save and the Saints had to settle for the 0-0 tie.
