FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team gave up two early scores and couldn't rally back in a 2-1 loss on the road against Indiana Tech on Saturday afternoon. The Saints (8-3-1, 3-2 WHAC) surrendered two goals to the Warriors (6-6, 2-3 WHAC) in the first 20 minutes of play and could not rally back from the deficit.

Emily Broman scored the lone goal for the Saints in the 38th minute of play. Kennedy Hyde had five shots, one on goal, to lead the Saints attack. Marissa Young registered two shots, both on goal, to help lead the offense. Morgan Llewellyn, Lily Tiplady, and Mackenzie Stenzel contributed a shot on goal in the losing effort. Kara Bishop (L, 7-2-1) made two saves in goal for the Saints.

Lily Rothert scored an unassisted goal at the 15:31 mark to put the Warriors ahead 1-0 early. Rothbert then assisted on Alina Garcia's goal less than two minutes later, and Indiana Tech was on top 2-0. Broman cut the lead in half with a goal at 37:45 as the Saints faced a 2-1 deficit going into the second half. SHU outshot Indiana Tech 13-3 in the opening half. The Warriors goalie, Michaela Bitle (W, 5-4), made three saves in the first to preserve the lead.

The Saints outshot their opponent in the second half as well, 7-2, but three more saves by Bitle kept SHU off the board and propelled Indiana Tech to the win.
