SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer cruised to a 5-0 win over Cleary on the road Saturday afternoon. The Saints (7-2-1, 2-1 WHAC) improved to 2-1 in WHAC play with the win. It was the seventh shutout victory of the season.

Kennedy Hyde continued her massive week by scoring two goals for the Saints in the win. That gives the freshman four goals in the last two games. Julia Anderson, Marissa Young, and Sarah Ammon each tallied a score in the game. Lily Tiplady, Hyde, and Young each led the Saints with three shots in the game. Young's goal was her fifth game-winning goal of the season. Kara Bishop (W, 6-1) finished the game untested as she didn't face a single shot in 90 minutes of play.

Young got the scoring started for the Saints in the opening five minutes of the game. Hyde netted her first of two scores in the 17th minute of the first to give SHU an insurance goal. The Saints dominated play through the first 45-minutes as they held a 21-0 advantage in shots for the period. Juliana Caro made ten saves in the first half for the Cougars.

Ammon extended the lead to 3-0 at the 52:17 mark. Hyde scored her second goal in the 59th minute to put SHU up 4-0. Anderson scored at 69:09 to finish off the rout of Cleary. Much like the first half, the Saints outshot the home team 21-0. Caro made six saves in the second half to finish with 16 saves for the game.
