WASHINGTON, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team marched to a 6-0 win over Rochester in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play on Wednesday afternoon. The Saints (6-2-1, 1-1 WHAC) bounced back from a tough 1-0 loss to Lourdes last Saturday to even up their conference record.

Sarah Ammon tallied two goals in the blowout victory. Kennedy Hyde scored her first career goal as a SHU women's soccer team member and added a second one minutes later. Erin Tyson, and Faith Patania each tallied a goal as well. Lily Tiplady was active on the attack as she registered two assists in the game. Isabel Remar and Emily Broman each contributed to the scoring with an assist. Caitlyn Harwood (W, 1-1) got the start in net for SHU and earned the shutout with two saves on the day.

Siena Heights took a quick 1-0 lead after Ammon beat Rochester goalie Megan Swanker off a pass from Remar in the first 12 seconds of the game. The insurance goal came at 36:44 when Tyson scored her goal off an assist from Tiplady. The score remained 2-0 as the teams went into the locker room at the half. SHU carried a 7-1 advantage in shots during the first 45 minutes of play. Swanker made three saves to keep the Warriors deficit manageable through the first half.

The Saints came out firing in the second half as Hyde made her first goal unassisted at 51:29. Just under four minutes later, Hyde struck again with her second goal, this one was assisted by Broman to put the Saints up 4-0 in the 56th minute. Ammon added her second goal off an assist from Tiplady (her second dish of the game). Patania scored in the last minute of regulation to finalize the 6-0 win.
