HUNTINGTON, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team broke a scoreless deadlock three and a half minutes into the first overtime to pull out a 1-0 win over Huntington on the road Saturday afternoon. Senior Kaleigh Mahaz scored the game-winner in the 94th minute for the Saints.

Marissa Young had a team-high four shots, three on goal. Kennedy Hyde and MacKenzie Stenzel both registered three shots, two on goal. Sarah Ammon, Isabel Herden, and Isabel Remar each had a shot on goal for SHU.

The game remained scoreless throughout the first half thanks in large part to Huntington goalkeeper, Ireland Aerni's four saves in the first 45 minutes. SHU (4-1-1) outshot the Foresters (2-2-1) 6-1 in the first half. The Saints also had the only three corner kicks of the opening period of play.

Aerni made another six saves in the second half to preserve the 0-0 tie. SHU's Kara Bishop (W, 4-0-1) made two saves, one in each half to keep Huntington off the board through regulation.

Siena Heights needed just one shot in the overtime period to put the game away and earn the win.
