SHU Women's Soccer Partners with Cornerstone in Friendship Sports BOGO Night at Friday's Games

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team is partnering with Cornerstone in Friendship Sports Bogo Night at this Friday's Reserve and Varsity game's against each other.

During the Cornerstone's women's and men's soccer games against Siena Heights on Friday and Saturday, FSI Ministries will be selling T-shirts and socks. For every purchase of these shirts and socks, a shirt and/or pair of thermal socks will be donated to Mel Trotter Ministries in downtown Grand Rapids. The efforts are to collect socks for the homeless population of Grand Rapids for the upcoming winter season.

The Siena Heights Women's Soccer team had purchased 50 shirts, which will allow 50 shirts and/or pairs of thermal socks to be donated to the cause. The team encourages its fans who will attend the games over the weekend to also participate in this great cause.

This marks the second community project Siena Heights Women's Soccer has done with the Cornerstone women's soccer program. In March of 2019, both teams held a soccer camp for inter-city kids in Detroit.
