Lentz Makes 11 Saves as Women's Soccer Falls to #13 Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. -- Goalkeeper Sophia Lentz made 11 saves as the Siena Heights women's soccer team fell 2-0 to 13th-ranked Mobile (Ala.) in non-conference action, on Tuesday.

Opening the scoring for the Rams (3-0) in the third minute was Nikole Cruz when she finished a pass from Cheyne Bush. SHU managed five shots in the haft but was unable to convert.

Nine minutes into the second half, Mobile capitalized again when Tanja Hymoeller scored off of a Bush pass. The Saints outshot the Rams 10-9 in the second half with no avail.

Leading the Saints (1-3) in shots was Taylor Mulder with five, Samantha Bartelotti and Ashley Strong each took three shots. Cayla Hebert took six shots for the Rams while Noemi Mallet took four.

Winning goalkeeper Antonia Bauer stopped eight shots for Mobile while Lentz made 11 saves for SHU.

Overall, Mobile outshot SHU, 24-15, and held a 10-1 corner kick advantage.

Siena Heights will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 13 when the Saints travel to Marian (Ind.) for a 7 p.m. non-conference contest.
