#22 Women's Soccer Drops a Close Contest to #14 Davenport

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The 22nd-ranked Siena Heights women's soccer team dropped a 3-2 contest to No. 14 Davenport in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference match-up, on Wednesday.

Davenport started off the scoring in the 21st minute when Alayna Hilgendorf finished a pass from Roheema Bennett, send a low, hard shot past the SHU keeper.

Siena Heights responded with less than three minutes remaining in the first half as Samantha Bartelotti finished a rebound off of a Taylor Mulder shot to make it 1-1 heading into halftime.

The Panthers struck again in the 50th minute when Hilgendorf hit a driven ball into the back of the net to go up 2-1.

In the 68th minute, Kelsey Schoenberger netted a Bartelotti rebound to again tie the Panthers, 2-2.

Finally, the Panthers put the game away in the 86th minutes when Shameeka Fishley hit a driven ball into the upper, left corner that would hold as the game-winner.

Mulder led Siena Heights (11-4-2, 7-2-0) with seven shots, including three on frame, as the Saints outshot Davenport, 14-9, while the Panthers held a 4-3 corner kick advantage.

Taylor Hill started in net for SHU, allowing two goals while making one save. She was relieved by Meghan Bogg in the 56th minute, who allowed the game-winning goal. Winning goalkeeper Regan Troff made five saves for the Panthers (16-0-1, 9-0-0).

The Saints will host eighth-ranked Northwestern Ohio for the final match of the regular season. The WHAC contest is set for 4:30 p.m. of Saturday.
