#14 Siena Heights Cruises Past Lourdes

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The 14th-ranked Siena Heights women's soccer team defeated Lourdes (Ohio) in the WHAC Tournament quarterfinal match, 6-0, on Wednesday. 

Taylor Mulder opened up the scoring for the Saints in the 6th minute, finishing a through ball from Alexis Gainer. Mulder scored again in the 13th minute, assisted by Samantha Bartelotti and Emily Burkman. In the 14th minute, Kacey Lawniczak sent a cross into Burkman, who converted on a header for the final goal of the first half. 

The Saints (16-3-0, 8-2-0) scored three more goals in the second half. Gainer finished a pass from Madison Phillips in the 48th minute. Emily Loar finished the scoring for Siena Heights with a pair of goals coming in the 85th and 87th minutes. Her first goal was assisted by Paige Rachut while the second was unassisted. 

Winning goalkeeper Meghan Bogg made two saves in net for the Saints. Cassie Glovier stopped 12 shots in goal for the Gray Wolves (8-9-1, 5-5-0).

Siena Heights will be back in action as host for the WHAC Tournament semifinal, on Saturday. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. against Madonna.
