Eastman Scores Twice to Lift #15 Women's Soccer

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Two goals from Danielle Eastman helped lift the 15th-ranked Siena Heights women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory against Madonna, on Tuesday.

The Saints' Samantha Bartelotti started off the scoring for the night in the ninth minute when she finished a pass from Alexis Gainer. Taylor Mulder crossed the ball into Eastman who converted a header in the 17th minute for Siena Heights (14-3-0, 7-2-0).

In the second half, Eastman tacked on an insurance goal for the Saints off of a through ball from Emily Loar. Madonna (10-6-0, 5-4-0) responded in the 88th minute when Kelly Capoccia finished a quick pass from Taylor Kelly.

Winning goalkeeper Meghan Bogg stoped two shots in net for the Saints. Counterpart Blaire Schmalenberg made 14 saves in net for the Crusaders.

Siena Heights outshot Madonna, 37-5, and held a 8-1 corner-kick advantage.

The Saints will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Lourdes (Ohio) for their final regular season match. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
