#18 Women's Soccer Defeats Viterbo For Third Straight Win

LA CROSSE, Wis. -- First-half goals by Taylor Mulder and Erin Scheidel lifted the Siena Heights women's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Viterbo on Monday.

Viterbo took the lead early in the second minute with a deflection goal from Katie Bares. The Saints responded in the 30th minute with Mulder's goal. Scheidel converted on a penalty kick in the 36th to give the Saints the lead for good.

SHU goalkeeper Meghan Bogg made 11 saves to earn the win. Viterbo goalkeeper Alicia Seachord made four saves.

The V-Hawks (1-6-0) outshot the Saints (3-1-0), 18-10, and held a 7-1 corner-kick advantage.

The Saints will take on Calumet Saint Joseph (Ill.) in their home opener this Saturday at 7 p.m.
