SPRING ARBOR, Mich. -- Danielle Eastman scored the lone Siena Heights goal as the 18th-ranked Saints' women's soccer team suffered a 4-1 loss to No. 8 Spring Arbor in a non-conference contest on Tuesday.

Eastman's tally occurred in the 81st minute and was the contest's final goal.

Bethany Balcer put host SAU ahead in the ninth minute, helping the Cougars to a 1-0 halftime lead with an assist from Aubrey Schierbeek. Balcer added another goal in the 52nd.

Schierbeek expanded Spring Arbor's lead to 3-0 in the 67th minute, getting an assist from Corrie Good. Olivia Clark added another SAU goal in the 73rd with an assist from Sarah Klunder.

Taylor Hill had 11 saves in goal for Siena Heights (0-1-0). SAU goalie Sarah Yancer stopped five shots.

Spring Arbor outshot Siena Heights, 30-8.

The Saints will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 2, with a 6 p.m. non-conference game at Cleary.
