#25 Women's Soccer Records Fourth Straight Shutout in Win over Madonna

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Alexis Donnelly had a goal and an assist as the 25th-ranked Siena Heights women's soccer team defeated Madonna, 3-0, in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Friday at O'Laughlin Stadium. The Saints have won four straight games -- all of which have been shutouts.

Carlee Pallett and Jori Bitter also scored goals for SHU (9-1, 1-0) while Samantha Bartelotti and Kelsey Young added assists.

Donnelly put the Saints ahead in the 17th minute, finishing the play after Bartelotti carried into the 18-yard box.

In the 35th, Pallett received a through-ball from Donnelly and put SHU up, 2-0.

Bitter tacked on the Saints' third goal in the 50th minute, deflecting a header off a Madonna defender and into the net. Young assisted the goal.

SHU goalie Crystal Wilcoxen made one save to earn the win while Blaire Schmalenberg finished with five saves for the Crusaders (4-2, 0-1).

The Saints will return to action on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. WHAC home match against eighth-ranked Davenport.
