#25 Women's Soccer Handles Cleary

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The 25th-ranked Siena Heights women's soccer team scored three first-half goals on its way to a dominant 4-0 victory over Cleary in non-conference action at O'Laughlin Stadium on Wednesday.

Elizabeth Davis made two assists for the Saints while goals were recorded by Samantha Bartelotti, Carlee Pallett, Kristina Veal and Paige Frey.

Bartelotti put SHU ahead for good in the 13th minute, scoring on a breakaway with assists from Davis and Alexis Donnelly.

Pallett and Veal added unassisted goals in the 17th and 30th minutes, respectively, before Frey finished the Saints' scoring in the 67th with a Davis assist.

SHU goalkeeper Crystal Wilcoxen started in net and made one save during the first half to earn the win. Taylor Hill played the final 45 minutes.

Cleary goalie Paige Colosimo stopped 11 shots herself.

SHU outshot Cleary, 34-2, and held an 11-0 corner-kick advantage.

The Saints will return to action on Friday with their Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opener -- a 7 p.m. home match against Madonna.
