Women's Soccer Suffers First Loss of Season at USF (Ind.)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season -- a 1-0 non-conference defeat to Saint Francis (Ind.) on Tuesday.

USF's Heather Jones put in the game's only goal in the 21st minute.

SHU goalkeeper Crystal Wilcoxen had six saves while winning goalie Morgan Hammon stopped four shots for the Cougars (5-1-1).

Saint Francis outshot the Saints, 10-8, while SHU held a 7-2 corner-kick advantage.

Siena Heights will play its next contest on Friday when Trinity Christian (Ill.) visits O'Laughlin Stadium for a 7 p.m. start.
