LIVONIA, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team dropped its Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opener to Madonna, 1-0, on Saturday.

Madonna's Katlyn Krysiak scored in the 18th minute with an assist from Kelly Capoccia to provide the game's only scoring.

Crystal Wilcoxen had three saves in net for the Saints (4-5-1, 0-1-0) while Blaire Schmalenberg stopped one shot to earn the Crusaders (4-4-1, 1-0-0).

Siena Heights will return to action on Wednesday with a 5 p.m. WHAC contest at Davenport, which is currently ranked seventh in the NAIA.
