Women's Lacrosse Season Ends With WHAC Tournament Loss to Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team had its season come to an end after falling to Indiana Tech, 18-8, in the WHAC Tournament first round.

Emily Pringle led the Saints with four goals and one assist. She also controlled three draws.

Hannah Merrick added two goals and three assists while Grace Holland tallied two goals and Avah Holland put in one goal. Goalie Shelby Mueller totaled 19 saves.

A pair of early second-quarter goals by Merrick helped the Saints take a 4-3 lead. The host Warriors answered with the next eight goals, including seven before intermission, to built a 10-4 halftime edge.

After Indiana Tech widened the gap to 11-4 early in the third, Grace Holland led SHU on a four-goal run with two of her own as the Saints closed the margin to 11-8.

The Warriors had another response -- this time in the form of a seven-goal run -- to pull away for good.

Brooke Buhr was Indiana Tech's top scorer with seven goals.
