ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team fell by a 21-12 score to ninth-ranked Aquinas during Saturday's WHAC action at O'Laughlin Stadium.

Emily Pringle led the Saints with five goals and six draw controls. Avah Holland added two goals and three caused turnovers while Hannah Merrick contributed two goals and one assist.

Also for the Saints, Jenna Allie totaled one goal and two assists while Sophia Baugh and Catherine Androwski tallied one goal apiece.

Shelby Mueller made 11 saves in goal.

Aquinas jumped out a 6-0 lead in the first quarter before SHU opened the second period with a four-goal run. The visitors then answered with another six-goal streak, pushing their lead to 12-4.

SHU pulled within 13-8 on a Pringle goal late in the third quarter, but that was as close as it could get.

Siena Heights (5-9, 4-5) will play next in the WHAC Tournament with a first-round road game on Tuesday.
