Pringle's Dominant Day Leads Women's Lacrosse Over CUAA

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Emily Pringle scored seven goals and had a dominant day in the faceoff circle with 16 draw controls as the Siena Heights women's lacrosse team earned a 20-13 victory over WHAC opponent Concordia on Saturday.

Jenna Allie and Hannah Merrick added five goals apiece for the Saints (3-6, 2-2). Sophia Baugh tacked on two goals and Catherine Androwski notched one.

Merrick also controlled five draws. She, Pringle and Allie made one assist each.

On the defensive end, Julia Porchetta totaled five groundballs and four caused turnovers while winning goalie Lucy Stedam had seven saves.

Concordia (1-9, 0-5) was led by Taylor Nesbitt and Taylor Armstrong, who scored four goals each.

Siena Heights trailed only once -- down 3-2 -- before taking the lead for good with a 4-0 streak. Pringle and Merrick scored twice in that stretch.

The four-goal run was the beginning of a lengthier 13-2 run that saw Pringle and Merrick score four times apiece. Allie had three in the run that left the Saints with a 15-5 lead in the third quarter.

SHU will return to action on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. home WHAC game against Bethel (Ind.).
