LOURDES, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team rolled to a 17-10 win in its WHAC opener against Lourdes on Wednesday.

Emily Pringle led the Saints (2-4, 1-0) with six goals, two assists and four draw controls. Jenna Allie added four goals and one assist and Hannah Merrick pieced together a strong all-round game with two goals, one assist, six draw controls, four groundballs and four caused turnovers.

Avah Holland had two goals and one assist. Abbey Scott, Catherine Androwski and Annamae Martin also scored goals. Martin made an assist.

Winning goalie Lucy Stedam finished with five saves.

The Saints held an early 4-3 lead before going on a six-goal run in the opening half. That pushed the advantage to 10-3 and SHU maintained a comfortable lead the rest of the way.

SHU will return to action on Saturday with its home opener, a noon contest against Marian (Ind.).
