WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- The 10th-ranked Siena Heights women's lacrosse team had a tough time with sixth-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.) on Friday, dropping its season opener, 22-1.

Emily Pringle scored the lone goal for Siena Heights (0-1). Pringle also had four draw controls while Catherine Androwski and Avah Holland controlled three draws each.

Siena Heights goalie Lucy Stedam totaled 14 saves.

SHU will return to action on Sunday with a 2 p.m. non-conference game against Ave Maria at neutral-site Cumberlands.
