Seven SHU Women’s Lacrosse Players Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced the 79 student-athletes from 17 different institutions on the 2022 IWLCA NAIA Academic Honor Roll late last month. The Saints boasted the third-most student-athletes, with seven making the individual list.

Marissa Cirino (Canton, Mich.), Kristin Delclos (Warrenton, Va.), Shanterra Holmes (Flint, Mich.), Tori Jennings (Tecumseh, Mich.), Hannah Merrick (South Lyon, Mich.), Emily Pringle (Southfield, Mich.), and Amber Soukup (Oxford, Mich.) were the Saint women's lacrosse players awarded.

"I am extremely proud of the success displayed by our students in the classroom," said SHU head women's lacrosse coach Alexa Matta. "Their dedication to their academics is a testament to the example they show as student-athletes."

To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must be junior, senior, or graduate level students and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Siena Heights led with the most student-athletes on the individual list out of the four other Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) members. Lawrence Tech had six, Madonna had four, Aquinas had three, and Indiana Tech had two.
