Marissa Cirino Claims Second-Consecutive WHAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

ADRIAN, Mich. – Siena Heights senior Marissa Cirino was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) women's lacrosse offensive player of the week when the league office announced the award winners on Monday afternoon.

During the 23-11 win over Bethel (Ind.) last Wednesday, Cirino broke the school record for career goals. She needed five goals to tie the record and scored six to surpass the former top mark of 189. Cirino currently ranks second in points, goals, and assists in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

This is the sixth WHAC player of the week award for Cirino's career and the second for the SHU women's lacrosse program during 2022.

Cirino and the Saints will take the field this Wednesday, April 6, when they host Madonna in a WHAC contest at 7:00 p.m.
