Adrian, MICH – Siena Heights hosted Albion College on Monday night in O'Laughlin Stadium. The Saints fell to the Britons 16-7, making the overall record for No. 9 Siena 3-6.

Madison Spell led the home team going 2 for 2 on the night and collecting one assist. Hannah Merrick also went 2 for 2 while picking up three ground balls. Marissa Cirino scored one goal while tallying one assist, four caused turnovers and scooped up six ground balls. Emily Pringle put two points on the board and helped the Saints, by picking up two ground balls. Goalie Lucy Stedam (L, 2-4) saw three-quarters of action and saved five balls. Emily Durr saw action in the crease during the final quarter, saving one ball.

Albion College jumped off to a three-goal lead early in the first. Cirino found the back of the net at the three-minute mark, putting the first points on the board for SHU. Going into the second, the Britons lead 5-1.

The second quarter saw two goals apiece for each team, bringing the score to 7-3. Merrick found the back of the net both times for Siena Heights, collecting her 14 and 15 goals of the season.

The Albion defense caused trouble for the Saints while the Britons goalie saved 9 of the 16 shots on goal. The third quarter saw another offensive push from the visiting team as they put five points on the board. SHU would only score twice, both coming from Pringle, as she collected her 20th goal of the season.

The final quarter saw four additional goals from Albion College and two goals for the Saints, both from Spell. Strong defense from the Britons caused the SHU offensive machine to stumble and resulted in a final score of 16-7.
