Adrian, Mich. – Siena Heights senior midfielder Marissa Cirino was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) women's lacrosse offensive player of the week this afternoon after the league's announcement.
The past week Cirino netted 11 goals, seeing five in the 21-18 loss to RV Concordia (Mich.) and six in the 20-5 win over Lourdes University. She also led the Saints in almost every category offensively and defensively for the week. In addition, the Canton, Michigan native tallied 17 points during the past week, thanks to the six assists she collected.
This is Cirino's fifth time receiving the award of WHAC player of the week and first in the 2022 season.
Cirino leads SHU against Albion College tonight in the O'Laughlin Stadium. The opening draw is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
