Parks Leads Women's Lacrosse to Victory Over Point

WEST POINT, Ga. -- Kayla Parks scored four goals in the Siena Heights women's lacrosse 11-9 victory over Point (Ga.) in non-conference action, on Wednesday.

Point started the scoring in the first half and only scored one other goal before half time. The Saints came together and netted eight goals leaving the score 8-2 at the end of the half.

In the second half, the ball traveled to both ends of the field. The back and forth scoring made the game a close match, but SHU's Aliisa Mason scored with three minutes left sealing the win for the Saints. The Saints held the ball for the last three minutes leaving the end score of the game 11-9.

Parks led the team in goals with five and Aliisa Mason came close behind with three. Marissa Cirino, Audrey Jarrad, and Katherine Tapia each netted one of their own.

Tabitha Ferguson was the winning goaltender for the Saints, making 11 saves.

The Saints take on Cumberlands (Ky.) in a 4 p.m. contest, on Thursday.
