Women's Lax Suffers Loss to #5 Lawrence Tech

BEVERLY HILLS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team suffered an 18-4 loss in conference play against fifth-ranked Lawrence Tech, on Monday.

Aliisa Mason started off the game scoring with 23:17 remaining in the first half after finishing a pass by Alysa Grove. LTU responded with three goals, then Siena's Sydney VanHoose scored off of a Kayla Parks pass. Lawrence Tech scored four more goals in the first while Parks added one more for the Saints, who trailed 7-3 going into halftime.

The Blue Devils scored 11 more in the second half while Alyssa Hopkins finished a free position shot for the Saints.

Tabitha Ferguson had ten saves between the pipes for SHU. Lawrence Tech's goaltender Marie Klonowski stopped four shots.

LTU won 16 draw controls compared to Siena's four.

The Saints will be back in action at home when they play fourth-ranked Davenport. The conference contest is set for 7 p.m. on Thursday.
