#8 Robert Morris Overwhelms Women's Lacrosse

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. -- The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team lost 20-4 against non-conference opponent 8th-ranked Robert Morris (Ill.) on Friday.

Siena Heights (5-5) opened the scoring with a Sabrina Snow free position shot only 44 seconds into the game. The Eagles scored four goals before the Saints responded with Taylor Swartz and Kayla Park each finishing one goal. With 2:46 left in the first half, Alyssa Hopkins put-in a free position shot to make it 9-4, RMU with the lead. SHU trailed 11-4 at halftime.

Robert Morris went on to score nine second half goals.

Tabitha Ferguson stopped nine shots in net for SHU. Winning goaltender Emily Bernard made six saves in her 42 minutes of play. She was relieved by Lindsey Riddle, who made one save for Robert Morris.  

Siena Heights was outshot by the Eagles, 33-14.

The Saints will travel to Aquinas on Sunday for a 1 p.m. conference game.
