#9 Women's Lacrosse Falls in Opener to Lawrence Tech

BIRMINGHAM, Mich. -- Erin Kehn finished with four points and one assist as the ninth-ranked Siena Heights women's lacrosse team dropped a 17-12 contest to Lawrence Tech in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opener for both teams on Saturday at Detroit Country Day Fieldhouse.

Aliisa Mason and Sabrina Snow added two goals each while Madison Sabourin and Sam Skodi finished with one goal and one assist apiece for the Saints (0-1, 0-1).

Also for SHU, Sabourin controlled five draws while goalkeeper Tabitha Ferguson made nine saves.

Snow's two goals and one tally from Mason helped a 3-0 run for SHU as the Saints grabbed a 5-3 advantage. The Blue Devils (1-0, 1-0) then responded with seven straight goals to take a 10-5 lead and led the rest of the way.

Alyssa Shaver led LTU with six goals and Kadijah Kalo put in five to lead the Devils. Marie Klonowski was the winning goalie with eight stops.

The Saints will be in action next on Saturday, Feb. 28, when they visit Pikeville (Ky.).
