Saints Win Cardinal Classic

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's golf team won the two-day Cardinal Classic hosted by Concordia (Mich.) at the Washtenaw Golf Club. The Saints had a total team score of 1,056, with round scores of 355, 345, and 356.

SHU was 12 strokes ahead of second-place Spring Arbor. Cleary fell to third while Lourdes was fourth. Aquinas and host Cardinals rounded out the team standings for the tournament.

Skylar Whitman led the Saints after tying for second with a total of 255. Whitman finished the third round in a three-way tie for first. However, she fell to second after a playoff decided the individual winner of the Cardinal Classic. Megan Paczas earned a three-round total of 259 to claim sixth on the individual leaderboard. Kylee Bratschi tied for 11th with a final score of 267, while Bethany Nowak scored 278 for 17th. Leah LeFleur ended the scoring for SHU with a 279 for 18th.
