Women's Golf Finishes in Seventh at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational

MARION, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's golf team competed in the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational on Friday and Saturday to kick off the 2017 season. 

Leading the Saints was Madisyn Reed with a first round score of 81, followed by Lauren Cojei with an 86. Also scoring for SHU was Allison Barron (83) and Dakota Spears (85). The final golfer for Siena Heights was Carley Hall with a score of 89. As a team, the Saints finished with a 336 first round score. 

In the second round, Cojei finished with a 79 while Reed shot an 80. Next for SHU was Barron and Spears shooting an 85 in the second round and Hall with a 92. The Saints completed the round with a team score of 329.

Siena Heights finished the IWU Invitational in seventh place with a total team score of 665, four strokes behind Indiana University East who shot at 661.

Next up, the Saints will travel to the Jon P. Speiss Invitational, on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
