Women's Bowling Earns Sixth at WHAC 3

LANSING, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's bowling team earned sixth place with 5,993 total pins at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) III tournament over the weekend. 

Lawrence Tech won the day with 7,408 pins as a team to place first. The Blue Devils were 289 pins ahead of second-place Indiana Tech (7,119) to grab the top spot in the team standings. Madonna was third with 6,573 pins while Lourdes was fourth with 6,564. Concordia (Mich.) finished ahead of the Saints with 6,531 pins. UM-Dearborn claimed seventh with 5,789. Cleary (5,752), Aquinas (5,688), and Cornerstone (5,672) finished off the standings.

Kendall Herron was the top finisher for SHU with 707 pins to snag 24th in the individual standings. Megan Helpman was 34th with 659 pins which edged out teammate Francesca Bontomasi who had 658 pins for 35th. Hannah Patch and Preslee Stahl were each represented Siena Heights in the top 50 with 657 and 625 pins for 37th and 43rd respectively.

The WHAC III was the final competition for the Saints in 2021. The team will return to the lanes on Saturday, January 22 at the MSC Cincinnati Collegiate.
