Women's Bowling Begins Season at WHAC #1

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's bowling team placed eighth at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) #1 on Saturday afternoon. The Saints finished with 5,541 pins (-1225) to place eighth on the team leaderboard.

Indiana Tech finished first at the top of the team sheet with 6,766 pins. Lawrence Tech was 319 pins back with 6,447 for second place. Madonna had 6,170 for third. Lourdes was fourth with 6,071 pins. Concordia (Mich.) claimed the fifth spot with 5,929. Cleary held a 40-pin lead over Aquinas to grab sixth. The Saints were just 13 pins away from passing Aquinas. Michigan-Dearborn (5,467) and Cornerstone (5,434) finished off the team standings.

Megan Helpman finished 23rd in the individual standings with 639 pins. Becca Ludwick had 604 for 27th. Hannah Patch claimed 48th with 515 pins. Francesca Bontomasi totaled 426 pins for 70th. Preslee Stahl scored 342 pins in two games for 81st. Kendall Herron played two games and scored 283 for 91st. Meredith Jeffery finished with a 266 after two games for 95th.
